About 17 years ago, I picked up a Juice Plus flyer from my yoga instructor. I went home, did some research, watched a few videos and eventually decided to give the products a try.

When I became a Juice Plus partner, I had one very practical reason:

**I wanted to get my products at the best price possible.**

I certainly wasn't thinking, *“You know what I need? A business!”* 😂

In fact, once I realized there was a business opportunity attached to it, my reaction was pretty much:

**Oh no. You mean I have to actually SELL something?** 😳

I had no idea then that this decision would eventually bring friendships, travel, personal growth, additional income and a community that would become an important part of my life.

And now, about 17 years later, I'm looking at this business with fresh eyes as I begin a new chapter at 68.

If you're searching for a healthy living affiliate program, you're probably looking for a way to combine an interest in wellness with an opportunity to earn some extra income.

**That wasn't what I was searching for 17 years ago, but looking back, it's exactly what I found.**

Technically, my Juice Plus business is a little different from a traditional affiliate program. I'm an independent Juice Plus partner, which means I can share products I personally use, support my customers and, if I choose, help other people learn about the business opportunity.

What I've come to appreciate is that **you don't have to know how to do everything before you begin.**

**I certainly didn't.**

## But I’m Not a Salesperson!

If the thought of selling something makes you uncomfortable, believe me, I understand.

I remember the very first person I ever shared Juice Plus with. She was an old friend and former coworker, and of all places, we were standing in the produce department of the store where I had worked.

There I was, trying to tell her about fruits and vegetables while literally surrounded by fruits and vegetables. You'd think that would have made it easier. 😂

Nope.

I was nervous, tripping over my words and making the whole thing much harder than it needed to be. Thankfully, she was my friend, and when I finally finished, we could giggle about it together.

But I did it.

And then I did it again.

As I began getting customers, something changed. I started realizing, **maybe I really can do this.**

I would get so excited every time someone became a customer that I'd call my daughter to tell her the news!

Over time, I've learned something that has completely changed the way I think about selling: **I don't have to decide for someone else.**

My job is simply to share information, answer questions honestly, and let that person decide whether it's right for them.

I'm still learning this lesson today. But that's part of the personal growth this business has given me.

## I Found More Than a Business

Somewhere along the way, Juice Plus became about much more than products or earning a little extra money.

I found a community.

We sometimes affectionately call it the **“Juice Plus bubble.”** It's a community of people interested in healthy living, learning, growing and helping others do the same.

Through the years, I've attended conferences around the country, learned from health and wellness professionals, met people online and in person who have become dear friends, and been surrounded by people who encouraged me to keep growing.

And grow I did.

I've learned to lead. I've learned to speak in front of groups—even though I'd still rather not sometimes! I've learned to prepare, step outside my comfort zone and do things even when I'm nervous.

Sometimes that has meant jumping out there first while **shaking like a leaf with absolutely no saliva left in my mouth.** 😂

I've also learned to be more coachable and teachable. That didn't happen overnight. I'm still working on my own limiting beliefs, just like everyone else.

Looking back, I realize something important: **I didn't become confident and then start doing uncomfortable things. I became more confident because I was willing to do uncomfortable things.**

The extra income has been helpful. It has helped pay for my own products and helped with travel to conferences. But some of the most valuable things this business has given me could never be measured by a commission check.

The friendships. The experiences. The personal growth. The community.

I signed up looking for a better price.

**I had no idea how much more I would find.**

## Why I’m Starting Again at 68

Here's something else I want to be honest about: I haven't given this business my full potential.

I've had seasons when I've been more active and seasons when life took more of my attention. Recently, I've lost quite a few customers and a couple of partners, and I'll admit—it was discouraging.

I could look at that and decide it's time to wind things down.

**Instead, I've decided to begin again.**

I'm 68, and I'm realizing there are a lot of women my age asking the same question:

**What do I want the next chapter of my life to look like?**

After years of taking care of children, grandchildren, husbands, households, jobs, bills and laundry—oh, the laundry! —it can feel strange to suddenly ask what *we* want to build for ourselves.

For a long time, I was perfectly capable of taking care of everybody and everything, yet somewhere inside I carried the belief that I couldn't really stand on my own two feet. I thought maybe this was simply it for me.

Juice Plus became one of the catalysts that helped me discover I was capable of more.

Today, this business gives me something to build, opportunities to keep learning, a community to belong to and a reason to continue challenging myself. And yes, there's also the opportunity to earn some extra income.

I'm not starting this next chapter because I have everything figured out.

**I'm starting because I know I'm not finished yet.**

And maybe you're not either.

## What Would I Actually Do?

This was one of my biggest questions in the beginning—and probably one of my biggest fears too.

At its simplest, I've learned that this business is about **connecting with people**.

For me, some of my best experiences came from having a booth at community events and then meeting interested people for coffee afterward. I enjoy sitting across from someone, hearing her story and having a real conversation.

Today I'm learning new ways to connect, too—including social media, Pinterest and this little corner of the internet you're reading right now.

And no, you don't have to become an internet influencer overnight. **Thank goodness.** 😂

I've learned that the more important question isn't:

**“Am I already good at this?”**

It's:

**“Am I willing to learn?”**

Because the skills can be learned.

**I'm living proof of that—and I'm still learning.**

## Why Juice Plus?

Of course, if I'm going to share something with other people, I need to feel good about what I'm sharing.

After about 17 years, Juice Plus is still part of my family's healthy-living routine. But I've never looked at it as a replacement for eating well or taking care of ourselves.

As a Health Coach, I believe the bigger picture matters—what we eat, how we move, how we sleep, how we manage stress and the everyday choices we make along the way.

Juice Plus has simply become one part of that bigger picture for me.

And I think that's one reason I've stayed with it for so long. **I can share something that is genuinely part of my own life rather than feeling like I have to “sell” someone something.**

## Can You Really Earn Extra Income?

Yes, there is an opportunity to earn income as a Juice Plus partner—but simply becoming a partner doesn't guarantee an income. Results vary, and building a business takes time, effort and learning new skills.

For me, the extra income I've earned over the years has helped pay for my own Juice Plus products and helped with expenses related to traveling to conferences.

Just as important to me has been the **flexibility**.

I've been doing this for about 17 years, and life certainly hasn't stayed the same. I've had seasons when I've been more active in my business and seasons when family, work or life needed more of my attention.

Now, at 68, I'm choosing to give it more attention again.

I'm not looking for something that has to take over my life. I want something that can be **part of my life**—something that gives me purpose, keeps me learning and connecting with people, and gives me an opportunity to earn additional income.

I don't know exactly what this next season will look like.

**And honestly, that's part of what makes me excited about it.**

## Want to See How the Business Actually Works?

I've shared my story because I think it's important to know the person behind the opportunity. But my experience is just that—**my experience.**

If something you've read here has made you curious, the best next step is to take a look at the official Juice Plus information and see what catches your attention.

You'll be able to learn more about what it means to become a partner, how the business works, and what support is available.

There's no pressure from me and no obligation to do anything.

**Just take a look. Be curious. Ask questions.**

And if you find yourself thinking, *“Hmm...could this be something for me?”* I'd love to have that conversation with you.

## Still Curious? Let’s Talk.

If you've made it this far, I'm guessing something has you at least a little curious. 😊

You don't have to know whether you want to become a partner. You don't need to have a big social media following, be great at sales or have your next five years figured out.

Maybe you simply have a question.

I'd be happy to hear what caught your attention, what you're looking for, or even what makes you a little hesitant. I'll share what I know and answer your questions as honestly as I can.

**No pressure. No convincing. Just a conversation.**

After all these years, that's one of the biggest things I've learned:

**It's not my job to make the decision for you. My job is to give you good information so you can make the decision that's right for you.**
